Cyber Security Awards 2023
29th November 2023

On the 29th November 2023, Pervade Software’s Senior Systems Engineer, Jessica Gibbons, and Online Content Manager, Holly Preece, attended the Cyber Security Awards 2023 held at One Moorgate Place in London. Jessica, a finalist for ‘Cyber Woman of the Year’, was acknowledged for her contributions at Pervade Software and her work on the Police CyberAlarm scheme.

Established in 2014, the Cyber Security Awards stand as an annual testament to innovation, excellence, and dedication amongst individuals, teams and companies that have made significant contributions in the field of cyber. This year marked a historic milestone for the awards, with entries from over 30 different countries. The awards implemented a meticulous judging process, featuring a panel of industry experts who diligently accessed each nomination.

Following a three-course meal, the attendees listened to insights shared by The Cyber Helpline, the charity partner of the awards. The organisation provides invaluable free expert assistance to victims of cybercrime, digital fraud, and online harm.

BBC News Reporter and Cyber Correspondent, Joe Tidy, presented this year’s awards ceremony, discussing some of the highlights of his career and cyber trends we’d seen in 2023. The event was live streamed on YouTube to give everyone who couldn’t attend the opportunity to watch. With over 140 in-person attendees, the event showcased winners either present in the room or with video messages if distance or other commitments prevented their physical presence. The atmosphere was full of excitement, and the evening was filled with meeting remarkable individuals and shared laughter, making it an unforgettable experience for all.

It was great to celebrate all of the contributions Jessica has made to the field this year, and although she didn’t win the ‘Cyber Woman of the Year’ award, her name now graces the awards Hall of Fame.
